The Millinocket School Department utilizes all assessment data to help inform our practices at the district, school, classroom and individual levels for our students. Although we encourage students and parents to participate fully in our assessment program, it is important to note that parents/guardians may opt their child out of state testing. If you are interested in doing so, please reach out to your child's principal to make this request in writing.
Parents Please Note
We are now heading into warmer weather and that means packing up the winter clothes and bringing out the summer ones! We would like to remind parents of our dress code and what the school considers appropriate and inappropriate. No spaghetti straps for girls….if they want to wear a tank top under a spaghetti strap shirt or put a sweater over one that is fine, also, no belly shirts…..if you can see your child’s mid-drift we would appreciate a shirt under it or a cover up….also short shorts/skirts would be considered inappropriate, please be mindful of these things when sending your child to school. As always, we do not support t-shirts with inappropriate graphics or language, tobacco, alcohol or drugs. If your child has come to school with clothing that is distracting or inappropriate the school will call home for a change of clothing.
Also…..if your child is riding their bike to school, please have them wear a helmet, if they do not wear a helmet they will not be allowed to ride their bike to and from school. If they need a helmet, the fire department will provide one for them.
Please save your Box Tops, Campbell soup labels and Hannaford coupons over the summer! We encourage all parents to put your Hannaford coupons in the Granite St. slot at Hannaford! We use this money along with Box Tops to fund activities. Thank you for your continued support!
