Parents and Guardians,
We will be having our winter concerts on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 for grades K-2 and on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 for grades 3-5. Both concerts will begin at 12:30 in the Walker Auditorium at Stearns.
Students should wear concert attire consisting of well fitting pants , dress, or skirt with a button up shirt or light weight sweater (it gets warm on the stage). Please refrain from having your child(ren) wear antlers, jingle bells, things with flashing lights, etc. as it can be very distracting for others on the stage and in the audience.
Students will be bussed to the Stearns for the concert and back to Granite for dismissal. Students will not be dismissed at Stearns. We look forward to see you on December 17th and 18th.
Please contact Mr. McEwen or Granite Street with any questions.

Please take notice of the winter weather notice!

Stearns playoff football game will be Friday Nov. 1st against Ellsworth at 6pm!

Our fall Scholastics Book Fair was a great success!!! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, helped to set up and dismantle the book fair, contributed to the coin drive, and purchased items. A big shout out to Mrs. Reece for coordinating our book fairs each year. The coin drive and donations through rounding up purchases raised $1,020.89 ensuring that every student was able to take home at least one book. The total fair sales was $8,252.37. Granite Street will receive 4,126.18 in Scholastic Dollars which will be used to buy books and other educational materials. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, helped to set up and dismantle the book fair, contributed to the coin drive, and purchased items.

Halloween will be here soon and we have some fun activities planned for students. Mrs. Leach is setting up games, face painting and a dance party in the gym for 30 minute blocks of time for each grade level. Students can wear costumes that day as long as they are not scary, gory, and do not include things such as fake blood or fake weapons.
Some students have medical conditions, including food allergies, that require dietary restrictions and/or no contact with certain types of food or ingredients found in processed foods. This is why teachers may request specific food items or that no food items be provided by family members when making plans for events like Halloween parties. As a school district, we are working very hard to make sure we provide healthy and safe environments for all students, therefore, we ask for your assistance when it comes to supplying food for school events. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
