Thank you to Tom Malcolm who talked to the students about the importance of wearing bike helmets.
A HUGE thank the members of the local Masonic, Nollesemic Lodge #205, for their contributions of the bicycles and helmets for one boy and one girl in each grade PK-5th. We also had the privilege of having Mike Murphy, one of the Masonic members, play the bagpipes for us before we chose the winners of the bikes.
The Masons of Maine, through the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation, actively contribute to various charitable causes and communities throughout the state. This includes the Bikes for Books Program which encourages reading by rewarding students with a change to win a bicycle and helmet. Other specific charitables initiatives include youth programs such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, Special Olympics, and Project Graduation, Funding training for officers and materials for the D.A.R.E. Maine program, suicide prevention, and supporting veterans.

A HUGE shout out to the police officers, EMTs, and fire fighters who participated in our field day.
